yf Page 6 LAUREL OUTLOOK Wednesday August 24 1983 Arnold family holds reunion Obituaries Betty Lou Bromley With a major in pediatrics with a clinical speciality of pediatric surgery Hawley was licensed as a pediatric nurse practitioner after completion of degree requirements She ia recipient of the Louise Andereon Williams award after unanimous nomination by the graduate faculty in the school of nursing the award is given each year to the student most exemplifying outstanding scholarship and academic excellence She hat also been nominated by the faculty to receive recognition through the "Outstanding Young Women In America" program for 1983 Currently Darlene Hawley ia employed as a pediatric clinical special-istnurse practitioner for the department of plastic surgery at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville Betty Lou (Werner) Bromley 50 former Laurel reoident died suddenly at her home in Inver Grove Heights Minn Sunday Aug 14 The daughter of Chester and Vivian Anderson she married Roy A Bromley Aug 6 1976 at New Rockford ND Survivors include her husband Roy of South St Paul two sons Larry and Mitchell Wemerof Laurel a daughter Leann Seiler New Rockford ND stepchildren Delores Shaffer Inver Grove Heights Connie Bromley South St Paul her mother Vivian Jacobson and step-father Julius of Lisbon ND brothers Chester jr Jerry and Jerome Anderson nine grandchildren and numerous neices and nephews Services were held Thursday Aug 18 at the Old Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Inver Grove Heights Minn Burial was in the church cemetery Shaw Hallen united in church ceremony Visits family Darlene Hawley daughter of Mr and Mrs Earl Hawley ia vacationing in the Laurel area visiting relatives and friends She recently completed a masters of science in a nursing degree from the University of Virginia Neal Kinyon punch and coffee Peggy Stolz and Nancy Weis cut nnd nerved the wedding enke The brides daughter: Kimberly and Michelle and Triaha ONeal were in charge of the guest book and gift table Family has reunion Neal Kinyon 80 of Minneapolis Minn recently following a long illness Survivors include his wife Helen a step daughter LaVonne Shaffer of Minneapolis two sisters Doris Clabaugh of Laurel and Helen Clayton of Kansas City Mo nine children by a previous marriage 28 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren as well as three brothers Gail Harold and Alan died Sue Shaw and Dean Hallen were united in marriuge Aug 14 at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in laurel The groom in the son of Os and Etna Hallen of laurel The bride the daughter of Mrs Smart of South Dukota Attending the bride and groom were Bette nd Bob Brester with the privute ceremony js-rformed by Rev Marvin Holt An open house reception followed at thechun hall with Mary Blakeslee and Della Hallen pouring The family of Ray and Louiae Michels gathered for a reunion at the family ranch northwest of laurel recently Attending were Andrew and ColetteSpurlockwith their children Richard Melinaa and Audra all of Stillwell Kan From Ekalaka came Jack and Claudine O'Connor and their children Tyree Paige and Lacey Florence Deer Lodge and Townsend in Montana Children of the Arnold family in Laurel are Mr and Mrs Donald Arnold Mr and Mrs Art Arnold Edna Sherrow and Mary Mrs Swede Helterbran Bud Arnold and his wife Barbara are residents of Ephrata Wash and a sister Frances Arnold Larkin lives in Tacoma All were present for the reunion that took place Aug 6 and 7 at the Rod and Gun Club Hall at Riverside Park in Laurel to get pipe organ McCourt have worked and researched this project for the past 16 months The decision to replace the electronic organ with a pipe organ was made in conjunction with the Parish Council of the church The organ will be built and assembled at the Wicks factory in Highland It will then be dismantled and trucked to Laurel Company technicians will re-assemble and voice the orgun in its permanent position at St Anthonys Tentative completion date is Christmas of this year Thanks Ia-fty and I took it to Fort Benton the last of June -Our first "aolo" and it'a very rewarding to be able to have some independence again especially with a very minimal amount of exertion on my part os to getting Lefty in and out of the van In July the specially equipped van took five of ua very comfortably to Michigan with a stop in Minneapolis where Lefty went to the University Hospital for evaluation testa Lefty could never have weathered the two week 3-VX) mile trip in a car In hia super van he came through probably better than the rest of us We hope all of you know that we dearly love and appreciate each one of you Thank you from the depths of all our being for your love devotion compassion time donations and all that went into this tribute to a great guy Again the reason I am so slow in publicly thanking all of you is the do we say a meaningful thank you for the happiness love pride and lean of fund and cherished memories that has shown in Iffty'seyes this past year?
